History

Through Ukrainian People Global Community (UPGC), we will build Ukraine back!

A non-profit community, UPCG is for the people, by the people, UPGC aims to rebuild Ukraine and its people with a resolve and moral fortitude to win this war.

Our Chairman, Dr Binay Singh is the first generation Indian who came to Odessa, Ukraine more than two decades ago to pursue a degree in Marine Navigation at Odessa State Maritime Academy (OSMA) and fell in love with the country. A renowned name in the maritime industry, an author and a motivational guru and mentor, Dr. Singh has helped thousands of people across the world.

His aim is to dedicate his life for the people of the world especially Ukraine as he now calls it his forever home. Indian by birth, Dr. Binay has travelled the world and made deep connections around continents however his heart remains in Ukraine. UPCG is solely dedicated to the people of Ukraine. A prize indeed, Ukraine is country rich in mineral resources, strong agricultural sector and an unshakable human capital. Since Russia launched its brutal invasion on February 24, 2022, our beautiful country Ukraine has been fighting this war head on. Though losing innocent civilians and some of the biggest infrastructure, it is also very clear that Russia is facing fierce resistance. In the times of crises, we want to consider what comes next.
UPGC intentions are to deliver the message of hope and necessity to keep fighting and reconstructing.
The community aims to reconstruct Ukraine and its natives towards prosperity. This will be done by guiding people of the country into new and innovative practices to re-construct themselves within the soil of Ukraine.

Dr Binay Singh

ENTREPRENEUR | AUTHOR | PUBLIC SPEAKER

Dr. Binay Kumar Singh is the Founder and Managing Director of BS Global Maritime partners Ltd., along with other notable companies: Limassol, Cyprus, Singh Marine Management Ltd, Odesa, Ukraine and President of Federation of Global Maritime Community.

Dr. Singh is an exceptional individual. Not only is he an entrepreneur, but he is also an author, a public speaker and philanthropic. He believes in providing people around the globe with positivity, love, and endless enthusiasm. His faith is emulated by one of his most classic yet indefinite sayings: “Treat people as you like to be treated.”

With a Master of Science in Marine Navigation and a Doctorate of Philosophy, Dr. Singh is a well-known expert in the field of international shipping. Throughout his twenty-plus years of expertise, Dr. Singh has also nobly assured over 7000 seafarers’ employment security in various parts of the world.

Dr. Singh is a proud native of Ukraine. He spent the past 28 years living in Odessa.

Dr. Singh has displayed generous efforts and commitment towards seafarers and their families. In 2017, Dr. Singh won the Most Charismatic personality of the year by Sailor Today. He was also awarded the 18th Sailor Today Sea Shore Awards 2019 for Seafarer Welfare.
